Nha Trang launches new video clip to promote its tourism brand globally

Nha Trang, the tourism capital of Vietnam's southern Khanh Hoa province, has just launched a new promotional video clip titled "Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa: Touching your heart!" to market its tourism brand to the world.

The video was produced with the support of Vinpearl, Vietnam's leading integrated resort operator, and creative content from local production companies Rối Mơ - Life Puppets Show, Welcome to Vietnam, and Sunny Vietnam. It is part of the ongoing "Vietnam: Come & Fall in Love!" program that was honored with the Second Prize at the 8th National External Information Awards in 2022 organized by the Central Propaganda Department.

The breathtaking and emotionally driven video takes viewers on an endless journey of discovery through the "City of Tranquility and Bay of Swallows". It highlights the beautiful beaches, ancient Cham ruins, and enchanting traditional dances that first attract visitors to Nha Trang.

It then goes on to showcase the relaxing moments one can find at world-class golf courses, luxurious coastal resorts, and top-rated health and beauty facilities. Viewers are also introduced to the exciting water sports and interactive entertainment activities available along the scenic coastline.

In addition to Nha Trang's signature products of agarwood incense and swallows' nests, the video emphasizes the city's delicious culinary offerings sourced from the bountiful sea. Spectacular aerial drone shots provide a bird's eye view of the idyllic natural scenery and modern infrastructure that have made Nha Trang one of Vietnam's most popular holiday destinations.

The ultimate goal of this new promotional campaign is to raise further global awareness of Nha Trang as a top beach and wellness tourism spot in Southeast Asia. Despite challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic in recent years, international arrivals to the city have been gradually recovering thanks to ongoing promotional efforts.

In the first 9 months of 2022 alone, Nha Trang welcomed over 1.3 million visitors, including 150,000 foreign tourists. This represented a significant increase of 67% compared to the same period last year. Leading source markets were South Korea, China, Japan and Russia.

Local tourism authorities are hoping the new video clip will help drive further growth by attracting more free independent travelers (FITs) and digital nomads from longhaul markets like Europe and North America once direct international flight routes resume.

Produced using aerial drone and time-lapse filming techniques, the 3-minute video takes advantage of high visual production values to deliver an immersive tourism experience online. Viewers are guided through the changing landscapes and vibrant street scenes of Nha Trang with a soothing musical soundtrack.

Narration is provided in both Vietnamese and English to target dual domestic and international audiences. The video has already garnered over 500,000 views since being posted on social media and tourism promotion websites two weeks ago.

This points to its success in positively portraying the natural beauty, cultural heritage and modern amenities that make Nha Trang such an alluring beach escape. Over the coming months, the video will be displayed at international travel fairs and promoted more widely via digital tourism marketing campaigns.

Off the back of initiatives like this video clip, local industry insiders are confident that Nha Trang can defeat the downturn and continue extending its global tourism reach in the years ahead despite macroeconomic headwinds. Recapturing the region's top spot as a tropical paradise remains the long-term vision.
